The AT&T Building.
After the long, snowy, exasperating and aggravating commutes of Tuesday and Wednesday, it occurred to me that yesterday morning was offering itself as a perfect time to take some pictures of downtown Minneapolis.
It's a short walk from the bus to work - four blocks - but I saw some tremendous opportunities to capture some fantastic contrasts of a few of the more alluring illustrations of modern architecture of the neighborhood.
The cold, crisp air, clear sky, the vapor rising from the IDS Energy Center and the heated Ameriprise waterwall, and the crunch of footsteps and tires over the freshly fallen snow...
Ahhh - winter has arrived.

The Broccoli building
That's what we called it when the designs were unveiled. It looked greener in the original pictures. It was originally the AT&T building, and I swear the top refers to the microwave nest atop the old Northwestern Bell building. One of my favorites downtown; thanks for the great picture!
